Guru, pioneer, saint, sage and pain in the rear – Grady Auvil has been called them all. Filmmakers Jamie Howell and Jeff Ostenson undertake an exploration into the life of the late, legendary fruit grower who brought the Granny Smith apple, the Fuji apple and the Rainier cherry, among others, into their own in the United States and around the world. It is the story of a small-town farmer who could see the future in his fruit trees.

Founded in 2000, Fathappy has been making inroads around the Northwest with their own brand of up-tempo, intellectual rock. Relying on Cohiba and Kokanee-fueled creativity, Fathappy orders up the musical equivalent of a round of Bull Blasters - tunes that go down sweet, and come up funky. An unmitigated flop in butt-rock bars and country music strongholds, Fathappy's adult alternative sound is finding a devoted following of "Fatheads" among those in need of an alternative to being adult. Fathappy's Third album, "Live at Saint Laurent" has just been released.

Childhood friends from a small town in Washington state, Nightheart
began as a recording project around 2002. After 3 full length albums
and an EP, Nightheart has developed a simple, focused sound to
compliment their hook-laden songwriting. Singer/guitarist Jay Ullrich
sounds like Curtis Mayfield doing his best John Lennon impersonation.
Bassist Dave Shipman and Drummer Mark Ullrich provide a dynamic rhythm
that combines Paul McCartney's Beatle-bounce with Weezer's proto-indie
rock assault.
