Producer, Writer, Director
Jamie Howell
Founder Jamie Howell launched his career as a newspaper reporter and editor, shifting gears into video-based storytelling with the launch of Howell at the Moon Productions in 1999. His first full-length documentary, “Broken Limbs: Apples, Agriculture and the New American Farmer,” aired internationally, earning two Northwest Emmy nominations among other awards and recognitions. That, and much of his work since, has centered around the principles of sustainability, including the more recent award-winning documentary, “Pedal-Driven: A bike-umentary” which was recognized as finalist at the Banff Mountain Film Festival.

Editor, Camera Operator
Astrid Flory
Astrid fell in love with the medium of film while touring the Wenatchee Valley Technical Skills Center in junior high. Shortly after, she spent her entire life savings on a camera, launching what would become a 13-year career which continues to this day. During that time, she collaborated with friends to run a successful production business, working on numerous projects for the health industry, advertising, weddings, etc., all the while working on passion projects in the form of many comedy short films.

In 2022, Astrid joined forces with Jamie at Howell at the Moon and has been flexing her creative muscles to help tell new and exciting stories.
